Stress is a good thing

Stress acts as an accelerator: it will push you either forward or backward, but you choose which direction.

– Chelsea Erieau

Feeling like there’s a weight on your chest…good :)

I have said this to so many people.

If you’re not under pressure you’re doing something wrong.

Living within your comfort zone is the fastest way to ensure you lose sight of your goals.

The comfort zone does not even STAGNATE your progress.

The world is constantly evolving, if you stand still you quite literally fall behind!

What kind of stress should you have?

The stress you should be experiencing should fall in the category that forces you to take action on your goals.

For example:

The aspiration all of us have is to become financially free. We want the nice house, car and a fulfilling family life.

The stress you should be feeling for a goal like this is the kind that urges you to study harder or find a way to increase you income from your business or job.

THAT IS HEALTHY STRESS.

That is the kind of stress that makes you better!

What kind of stress shouldn’t you have?

You should not have the stress that lingers when you have earned a BREAK.

If you have set aside time to relax after a long period of work - you should be able to switch off in that time.

Chances are…if you can’t relax in your spare time this is a sign that you have not taken action on a task that you are most probably avoiding.

This stress is a warning sign rather than a motivator.

It is the human equivalent of the “check engine light” in your car.

If you are unable to CHILL in your spare time run through your past week…

GENUINELY ASK YOURSELF: “Was there something I avoided that I could’ve done?”

Most of the time that will help you dig out the root of your unsolicited stress.

I hope this clarified a few things for you…

Stress is a good thing BUT NOT ALL THE TIME.

As always, keep pushing toward being 1% better each day and take care of yourselves.

Yours Sincerely
